Like everyone we have been extremely moved by the events in Haiti, and hope that in lieu of a gift you will contribute to relief there through the Humanitarian Coalition. If you don't want to have your name publicly listed as a donor, don't click the box that allows for your donation to be listed. Instead, once you’ve made your donation, please send an email to us so we know to thank you for your gift.
You can also make out a cheque to CARE Canada at our wedding. Please include Haiti in the memo section and ensure your full name and mailing address are included for tax receipting. We will then forward these cheques to CARE to process for the Humanitarian Coalition Haiti fund and you will receive tax receipts in the mail.
About The Humanitarian Coalition
The HUMANITARIAN COALITION is a network of Canadian NGOs dedicated to a united response in cases of humanitarian crises. The members of the Coalition unite because they recognise the need for strong, decisive action. At present, the Coalition has FOUR members: CARE Canada, Oxfam Canada, Oxfam-Québec and Save the Children Canada. These members share the same goal to help the most vulnerable and together they are even better equipped to do so.
Until February 12 the Canadian government is matching donations to recognized charitable organizations.
